HOW WE CAN HELP

1Contact and issue reporting

How do I report a problem or share feedback?

Email the support address below with a short description of the problem or suggestion. A useful report tells us what happened, what you expected to happen, and whether you can reproduce it.

  • Use a clear subject, such as “Myself — purchase restoration” or “Myself — feedback”.
  • Include the app version, iOS version, and device model.
  • List the steps that led to the issue and copy the exact error message, if there is one.
  • Attach a cropped or redacted screenshot only when it helps explain the issue.

Myself has no sign-in account. Never send an Apple ID password, App Store payment details, full purchase receipt, journal content, photos, or recordings.

2Subscriptions and purchases

How do I manage or cancel an AI subscription?

AI monthly and yearly plans are auto-renewable subscriptions billed by Apple. Manage or cancel them in iOS Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions → Myself. Cancellation stops the next renewal; access normally remains available until the end of the current billing period.

How do I restore a purchase?

Make sure the device is signed in to the same Apple Account that made the purchase. Open Myself, go to its purchase or settings screen, and choose Restore Purchases. Keep the device online while Apple verifies the transaction.

If the purchase is still not recognized, restart the app and try once more. Then email support with the product type and the exact error message. Do not send payment credentials or a full receipt.

What is the difference between AI and iCloud purchases?

The monthly or yearly AI subscription unlocks the app's AI conversation features. iCloud sync is a separate one-time purchase for syncing records through your private iCloud database. Restoring one does not automatically mean the other was purchased.

3Data backup and recovery

Can I recover my records after reinstalling or changing phones?

Recovery is possible only if iCloud sync had already uploaded the records before the old local copy was lost. Sign in to the same Apple Account, make sure iCloud is available, restore the iCloud-sync purchase if needed, then enable iCloud sync in Myself and allow time for syncing.

Records kept only on the old device are not stored on the app’s servers and cannot be recovered by support after the app is deleted, the device is lost, or its storage is erased.

How should I back up my records?

Turn on iCloud sync if you want records copied to your private iCloud database and available on your other devices. You can also use Settings → Export Records to create a PDF for reading or a JSON copy for safekeeping.

Can deleted data be restored?

Deleting an individual record is intended to remove it. Settings → Clear All Data permanently deletes local data and, if the device has synced, asks iCloud to delete its copy too. That action cannot be undone by the support team.

4Privacy and data

Where are my records stored?

Records stay on your device by default. When iCloud sync is on, they are also stored in your own private iCloud database so they can sync across your devices. Myself does not keep a server copy of your journal content.

What leaves my device when I use AI?

When you use an AI feature, a bounded selection of relevant records and conversation context is sent so the AI can answer or update its on-device memory. The server does not store that content in its database or use it for advertising or model training. Audio records are not sent as part of those requests; AI-chat dictation is the separately initiated exception described in the Privacy Policy.

How do I delete or export my data?

Use the record controls to delete individual items, or Settings → Clear All Data to erase everything after confirmation. Use Settings → Export Records before deletion if you want a PDF or JSON copy.

5Troubleshooting

The AI is unavailable or my subscription is not recognized.

Check the network connection and verify that the subscription is active in iOS Settings. Reopen Myself, use Restore Purchases, and try again. If the problem continues, send support the exact error message, app version, iOS version, and approximate time of the failed request.

Microphone or speech input is not working.

Open iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone and allow access for Myself. Speech recognition may also need permission. Then return to the app and try again in a quiet environment with a working network connection when using AI-chat dictation.
